Girls applying make up...waste of time or for beauty?

Post by SunShine on Tue Aug 26, 2008 11:03 pm

I notice everytime i go to class or to the cafe...there will be a group of girls having their face 'coloured'...as in applying make up. I don't mean juz having eye liner or juz mascara. I mean full make up with foundations, blusher, eye shadow and so on.? I juz dun get it where they have all the time to do it?? I myself find it difficult to get ready to class in the morning. These girls and sometimes a gua can be really impressive at time...

I do not mean to say applying make up is wrong but juz curious coz sometimes i find it not practical to do it for class other than for occasional reasons.

Haha.. a gal make up is to make her look better... why the gals hav time to make up??? I onli can say is once they know how to make up, they will able to just use 10mins for make up... like me, i also will make up to attend to the class but seldom make up to cafe... i just spent 10 to 15 mins for make up... In my opinion, i think make up can let me hav a better image and as you guys know, the 1st impression is vry important... so when you guys see someone with the not looking well face, sure you will run away from her... so we hav to make up ourself to look better... even lecturer see you, also will be feel nice... make up not onli for occassion onli, but class also... actually depend on the person... if you r a guy, will you hope your gf can be make up and make her look more beautiful??? :queen:

if we lenglui do not make up where the hell of guys can see our beauty ah...
but true beauty does not require make up, make up is re inforcement only and to fix the bad part...

em... i think the gals make up not really for fix the bad part.. but they are trying to make themselves to look better... such we use the eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara to avoid the eyes look tired and sleepy... as you guys know, as a student in UNIMAS, sure many ppl gt "panda" eyes... that's y hav to make up to avoid other ppl discover the 'panda' eyes... hehe

im kind of curious too whenever i see gals with make up. i mean i'll wonder how long does she need to put on make up/? well, if she get used to it, time that she need to apply it definitely wont be long. but 10 to 15 minutes enough ka?? i thought gals need to apply foundation then blusher.. later on, eye liner with eye shadow + mascara... 5 items in 15 minutes.. that's very professional d e...

anyway, consequences of applying make up are kind of huge.. i have a friend of mine who is a gal...haha...she starts applying make up for outings since 19years old...not to mention, her make up is not that thick.. after gettin used to her with her make up, one day she came out and yum cha with whole bunch of frens... i get freak out when i see her w/out her make up.. she look so pale and dreadful..

well, u see gals, it's all right to apply make up once a while if only the "panda eyes" are totally teruk.. otherwise, leave it natural o... =) if not, make up is all u have when u are set to meet up with people in the future... :bounce:

They don't get time, they have time, like waking 'slightly' earlier?
Practically, makeups is for beauty and to boost confidence? what is there to judge others doing something to boost beauty or confidence? People want to be in their 'best' appearance, you cant stop them. Its all about image anyways. you cant, doesn't mean others cant do what you cant do, or maybe you don't want to do.

Its not about how many items doing in how long time, its how used to it you are and how 'perfect' you want it to be. as you practice more you'll be fast enough and 'perfect' in your own way. That's the point why your friend still using makeups, because she is now dependent to it, you can't blame them so still using it. Else if you want her to be pale or dreadful, i cant say anything. So just give your piece of thoughts and advice to friend which plans to use makeups so they wont end up like that friend of yours.

I think i agree with Acme and i also agree that don't put too much things on ur face... make it natural... For me, i think use the eyeliner, mascara n eyeshadow is enuf... don't add on summore the blush and lipstick... but lip gloss without colour is ok... then shud b ok... n plz don't use the cheaper n no branded make up stuff k... it can be broke ur skin... and make sure remove ur make up clearly n clean ur face before u go n sleep at nite...

In my opinion, i think a simple make up is ok for me, but i stil prefer natural. Can you imagine that you r putting some kinds of chemical on your face? Just think i also cant stand already...

Ooo......i..see....but then depends on how girls apply make up i think. Like colour preferences and volume of the make up? how come certain gurls i find so beautiful and captivating after make up but some after make up looks worst than their natural looks? is there any certain specific ways to make up? still don;t get it....

Well, when you tried it out then you'll know how to makeup and which type suites you the most.

Some info here, since someone said putting some "chemical" on the face. Makeups are actually made up from stone grains/ dusts, and some colorings.
