yesterday, in the champions league, for matches involving english sides, there was roma vs chelsea and liverpool vs atletico madrid. the former ended 3-1, and the latter 1-1.
roma won thru a goal from panucci and a brace from vucinic. terry scored a consolation goal afterwards. it was a match which saw the home side overpowering the visitors. despite being dangerously placed at the bottom half of the serie A table, roma managed to score 3 goals against a strong chelsea side, n we all know that scoring against chelsea is not an easy thing. the two vucinic goals were of the highest quality. deco was sent off after picking up a second yellow.
elsewhere, gerrard scored a controversially awarded penalty to grab a draw in their match against a madrid.
tomorrow's action will see celtic vs manu, and arsenal vs fenerbahce. manu looks set to claim a victory, while arsenal are hoping to bounce back from their currently bad form.

arsenal just defeated manu 2-1!! a samir nasri double was enough to lift the gunners above manu in the standings. the perfect way to bounce back from a run of disappointing results.

Seems like the big four occupy the top four again! But maybe will change again after other teams play their match today.

germany lost to england 2-1 in the latest friendly, courtesy of goals from upson n terry. confidence is said to have been achieved in the england squad. argentina defeated scotland 1-0.
