What you can do to make our country a better place to stay?
Ever thought of something useful to contribute to the country? Or how about start's something fresh or something small for a starter? Go to youthsays.com and join 15000 youths all around Malaysia and contribute to the website. You can also earn money (Yes! You can earn RM) just by answering surveys.
join in the fun and start earning some cash for your effort.
I've had my say, What say you?

...it's about time Malaysian youths voice out and make a difference as one voice. So far more than 10,000 young Malaysians (me included!) have been voicing out on issues we care about, and we get paid to do consumer related surveys too. Get the full picture here :

Being heard and giving something by means of telling other people what you want will help you in the long term. completing survey is one of them. how would you know you are represented and making something out of nothing without doing anything?
how would you know that things can be taken notice if people like us don't take a little action by means of doing some research... We're university student should know by now that survey is one of the way you tell people and get your message across...

Sometimes the result might not exactly represent what rakyat wanna say and what they think, many issues affected the result, like politics.

the big shots only talk the talk and flee.
What to do in making Malaysia a better place? Simple, first you are suppose to ABOLISH the so called Democratic system applied by Malaysia. Because it is not up to its name. Why? Malaysia is a Authoritarian-Democratic Political System that always says you have the freedom to do and say anything.
Secondly, why is there the royal's and their LARGE family being supported by the hard work and taxes of the citizens? Their responsibility are what? Being a symbol? Because of nobility? Do nothing, and get to eat and sleep and attend some show ups? Globalization and capitalism means YOU HAVE TO WORK to survive, but see what they are doing and why we are ''raising'' them? This is not a racism issue, but of out practicality.
Thirdly, attitude of Malaysian must change? Not up to what you think? Don't dare to speak up? Haha, because there is this act of "freedom to talk" in the democracy, but you don't have freedom after you give your "speech".

I'm sorry to say this but you are being ignorant... i know you're not being racist but from what I've read from your post, seems like you don't know the system very well. I think that you are a politic student, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, how would you change a Constitution that have been used for over 50 years just by simply, "changing the system" or "royals getting feed by the people's taxes" and so forth...
Read carefully the Federal Constitution and tell me what can you understand from it...
We, as Malaysian, shouldn't think about things like what you hace said. To be honest, if you really want to "survive" in the globalized world out there, why not you migrate to China for instance where the people are almost equal and the practicing Socialist system. I think you fit gracefully in that system I presume.
I love living like this, peaceful and harmony, with a little bit of controversies to spice up the life, political drama by the politicians, the government lifting up the subsidies, the oppositions are beginning to imagine what if there is a change in the ruling government, eating ABC at the roadside with your love ones, plenty to eat, a lot of beautiful girls around and etc...
As for globalization, you can live like you are being globalized in the internet. You are being mentally globalized by what you have been feeling and whatnot. It's only a mental state where you can sense it sipping in you and you didn't realized it until its too late...
Grow up and think again... You just been living not more than 25 years and saying things that you yourself cannot actually do... If you wan to do it, VOTE in the coming general election. Before that, register yourself as a voter.
p/s: this is not a case of blaming you for what you are.. this is only a debate. hanks for reading.

Re: What you can do to make our country a better place to stay?
It's just a suggestion. Suggestion doesn't meant sure can and sure will be implemented anyways. Don't get too emotional there. I'm not a politics student anyways. Not only politics student can know all "these craps". No doubts its a authoritarian-democracy, its a fact. Go ask any political academician, or lecturers.
Since its so much of a democracy, where you can speak "anything" you want, there won't be the prohibition of talking about "sensitive" issues in the public. If you do you'll be prosecuted with an offense, jail? quarantine? You can't even blog things about it. That is "so democratic".
Socialist is for the equal of the citizen, your right for that, but it is not equally between the citizens with the ruler, politician or who ever with official ranks. You don't work you die, that's the reality, don't talk theoretical things, impractical anyways, leave it just in the schools. And China is not one bit almost having equal equality like you said, exploitation is one of the worst there.
Globalization + capitalism = classical colonialism = imperialism
dominate or being subordinated.
I beg your pardon, being old doesn't meant you know more just because you've lived more. Age is not a meter or measurement of your "growth" and maturity, responsibility is.
Anyways saying about capabilities of doing what is said, as you have said it's a forum and a debate. How many academician that you see out there who can actually do things of what they make presentations of their papers can actually do it themselves? If they can, what for want to make papers of presentation? wouldn't it better off save the talking and do the doing? I've been to the MSC6, these things are discussed there, these SOCIAL PROBLEMS.
