If you did make frequent checks and window updates, I'm sure you will have "none" of the compatibility problems and errors, at least I did not. Anyways, I'm using "Window Vista Enterprise" ^@^ Not even one "compatibility" problems encountered so far.

Re: Software Compatibility?

Post by 21 on Fri Aug 01, 2008 2:52 pm

Many Vista user tend to downgrade their window to XP, all the answer i get from asking them why is "Very slow, not used to it, lag, softwares cant install...etc", what i say is just good, come you pay i downgrade it for you. XD
Btw some laptop which specially design for window vista, like Acer Aspire series( the most famous laptop model which i can see in UNIMAS), the window xp's driver were hard to find, recently i got i special driver backup software and really helped me alot to get the xp driver from those already vista downgraded laptop :p. It really saved me alot of time haha.
What i trying to say is, window xp is going to outdated( no more update will be release after 2009 or 2010), i've thinking to upgraded my window xp based Toshiba Satellite L100 to window vista recently, don't look down at it, it is WIndow VISTA CAPABLE!!!!!.
So if anyone stil say " not used to it", take the chance to follow the trend, and used to it. Update~

So far, i also heard of that frequently. I'm not sure about it coz i
haven't have a chance to experience it. At this moment, i'll suggest
them to use the newer version of C++ instead of that old version.

visual studio 07, although its much more user friendly but the code is bit diffrent with the previous version, i would suggest them to run dual boot on vista and install program in xp

I had wonderful time using windows vista except software compatibility issues. Sumtime even if you trying to install visual 6 in windows xp, it will gives u an error. What you can do is, restart your windows and it's done. Trust me 8)
