First n foremost, congrats to Anwar over the 15671-vote majority winning in the by-election @ Permatang Pauh. Okay guys, get ur popcorn ready! The "Malaysian Political Drama" staring Anwar+ Lim Kiat Siang+Pak Lah+ etc will be on screen SOON. Dun miss it!

I'm no pro-opposition, and also not a pro-govt. but I'm very analytical and somtimes very critical.
As I see it, this will become a new scuffle in Malaysia. MPs in the parliament will start blaming each other and nothing would be change uless they take action. We are the 1 who suffer the most when they squabble in the parliament. bill this, Act that, nothing that will change for the betterment if they always debating on issues that is not relevant for the people at all!

Dr Mahathir predicted that once back in Parliament, Anwar would make

i think what our ex-pm said is quit right, pak lah will have hard time to deal with anwar due to anwar is very good in manipulating situation and the public, he is really an intelligent person to control teh mass and on stage.

the second statement shows that our great hero ex-prime minister is ready to work for the public is there are chances that are given. i say is he is to givern the country like last time, i am ok with either anwar or ex-pm is rulling.

from another side of story, if pak lah have strategy to work on the things out, i think i dont mind either as long as social is in order and our political parties is strong. fail once does not means fail for the next time. failure is the mother of success.

Now we juz wait for 916....c wat Anwar gonna do!

there are rumours said that anwar is going to make agong as well, by my lecture where he get the info from blogs.

err..do u mean that anwar is going to be made agong?r u sure thats wat ur lecturer said..or did u misintepret ur lectrer..coz it is quite imposible for him to be so..
but to be honest i don quite like the gimmic his at.does leave us wit the uncertainty feeling rite..

i pick this at blogs and its quit interesting to know about humans value, not just politician but the society also need to know whats ggod for us and for others. its really shocks me.

the sorry state of apologies in Malaysia



Contrary
to popular perception, it appears that ‘apologies’ are not in short
supply these days, particularly in the wake of the controversy that
revolves around Bukit Bendera UMNO division head Ahmad Ismail.

In the news today, ‘apologies’ have been
demanded by various individuals and groups across the country,
including Ahmad Ismail himself. And there are, of course, the
counter-demand that no ‘apologies’ be offered to anyone.

Let’s begin with Ahmad Ismail. He now demanded that
Gerakan acting president Dr. Koh Tsu Koon and other leaders of the
Chinese community should instead apologise to him for having
unnecessarily ‘inflamed’ the issue. This was in response to the demands made
by Koh and also others such as MCA and DAP leaders that Ismail
apologise for the hurt that he had caused to the community concerned.

Ahmad also insisted an apology from the reporter of a Chinese newspaper, i.e. Sin Chew Daily, because
of the alleged misquoting of his statement made at a Permatang Pauh
by-election ceramah that had sparked the outrage of the Chinese
community and others in the country.

But Sin Chew stood its ground and backed the reporter concerned. If I may wonder aloud at this juncture: is this Sin Chew’s
action very much inspired by the recent exhortation of PM Abdullah
Badawi that Malaysia’s mainstream media should not be afraid to uphold
truth?

Of course, before this UMNO deputy president Najib Razak had already offered an apology on
behalf of Ahmad Ismail ‘if it has incurred the insensitivities or
unhappiness over the statement’. He added, ’We apologise, Umno
apologises although it is not our statement but it is a statement made
by one of our division leaders. It is totally unwarranted and does not
reflect the position and the attitude of Umno or the leadership of
Umno. We regret it very much.’

To be sure, it was this very statement of
apology that provoked ex-premier and ex-UMNO member Dr. Mahathir
Mohamad to respond. He questioned why
Malay leaders had to be apologetic over a remark deemed as racist by an
UMNO leader. As an apparent justification for his comment, he claimed
that non-Malay leaders never apologised when similar racist remarks
were made by members of their community.

Now, assuming that it was true to some
extent that certain non-Malay leaders never apologised, is he
suggesting that two wrongs make a right, two wrongs that are equally
divisive and destructive? When will all these racist remarks end, and
when can the ‘Bangsa Malaysia’ that he proposed be a reality?

Can we all, by the way, grow up (after 51
years of ‘independence’) and move on with our nation-building efforts
that are more inclusive?

Apologies should be offered by anyone
(especially from both sides of the country’s political divide) after a
deep introspection, soul searching, remorse and after the realisation
that one has indeed made a mortal mistake. (Or are we asking too much
here in a world of power-craze and material intoxication?)

There is obviously value in apology, and
thus it must not be bastardised for political expediency because
apology, as we know it, can go a long way towards cementing human
relationships and, in a larger Malaysian context, fostering
interethnic, intercultural and inter-religious understanding, respect,
tolerance and harmony.

Guang Ming Daily journalist Lee Kelvin said he was sure he heard Ahmad
utter Orang Cina cuma tumpang di sini sahaja (the Chinese are only
squatting here.)

the things here is that not one person or two person who claim to hear he said chinese are immigrants but most of the journalist there.

he should not said something like that due to it would make the whole country in chaos. chinese fight malay, malay fight indian, and indian fight chinese. all this will goes back to 15mei, i am sure those who are excited out there with the phare will lost their values of humanity.

apologising is just words, we cannot change the way he think of other races that is so called 'immigrants'. our family tree is here since our ancestor, we have no choice but to stay. we live comfortably with other races like they are our brothers and sisters. do we underestimate them? some in fact do, thats out of majority.

the way he talk is really offend other races which will effect on the next election. they have to open up their mind to put on the consequences of their speech before TALK.

i am dissapointed with some of the politicians, who only know how to HEE... BOH... HEE...BOH... sini and sana.

mayb they wan 2 gain media attraction.... :face:

but not this way, due to in the paper he claim that he is talking about 15mei rather tahn modern days. it does not make sense.

he is doing campaign that day, how can he said something like that in public and in penang somemore. there are a lot of malays there whoa re not really racist and the can work with chinese and indian well.

the latest election BN already lost to pakatan, if he said something like that to attract more malays vote, he is wrong due to that does not attract them. rather than making them turn their back on him.


penang has got a lot chinese yes. but if he think that he can win their heart by "providing" negative criticism on "immigrants", he is wrong. he tries to play with emotional rhetorics in my opinion. a lot of chinese and malay in penang can sit down and drink kopi together, talk about religion stuff and even talk about their own culture. at least most of the malay friends i come across in penang. there is no way he can win malays heart in penang in that way. further more, penang malay are modern, they can think of their own about what is bad and what is good.

the statement was made by reporters and he "claim" that he does not said that, how can he possibility purposely attract media with intention. does he not affraid of losing more votes to PKR?
