Breakthrough the School FIREWALL to play online games!!!(updated 12/09/08)

First of all, i believe tat many students facing the same problem. Before we came to school, we play online games at home,very fun and we thought we can continue to play it here, right in the school, because we knew tat the internet access are provided. But tat's only a dream and after u reach school u will found tat the reality is always cruel and fxxx :evil: .THE SCHOOL FIREWALL DOES NOT ALLOW US TO CONNECT TO A GAME SERVER!!!

But, FINE! At least we stil can go youtube, download music since the wireless getting stable...
Now, you see wat UNIMAS did??? They blocked all streaming/mp3 website, NO YOUTUBE, NO MP3 downloads, what left for us in our boring study life?

Lets dont be too upset and sad 1st, b4 u give up, try my way. I tired it b4 i subscribed the broadband, and it works fine.(may be sometimes it will lag, but i think yahoo messenger should be no problems)

First, go to YOur Freedom,download the file "freedom client", u can download an Window installer or a Java Achieve(NO NEED TO INSTALL).DOWNLOAD LINK But 1st you have to register a free account( you will need it later). Btw, unimas has blocked the yourfreedom website, i already host it to mediafire, this is the link:

Second, open the your freedom client,

select "Configure",then "use wizard" then next,next and next. the application will try to find a server which nearer to you and list out. Or alternatively you can go to configure at the main window, then manually input the server and its ip address and port.
e.g.



Choose one, then connect it. The application den will prompt you to key in user id and pw, just type in the account you apply just now. In case u cant connect to the registration website, use this :

pw:unimas

Third thing is, go download FreeCap. In case, the link is not working, try this:

Without this software u cant play games~
LAST STEP, run FREECAP, open File---settings.
set the Default proxy server to 127.0.0.1, Port:1080. press ok


then go to New Application, browse the game clients u wish to run. Finaly click RUN!!!

p/s:if come out the server cant connect, try choose the other server in YOUR FREEDOM, and do not close your freedom and free cap.

Enjoy online games in School~~ :D :D :D

To go to youtube, open yourfreedom, go to Application, choose MS IE, or Firefox.

Enjoy again the youtube.(even though it havent been tested, but theoretically it would work.)

Friendly reminder: If you find tat you cant run the executable jar file of your freedom, please go download the java JRE file and install it.

Due to the blocked of the streaming service, i will describe how we going to breakthrough the firewall in more details.
But make sure you have your freedom and freecap now in your computer.

Well, something nice and happy. Looking forward about how it would work ^@^ please give feed backs please those who tried. I can see the lights of gaming in UNIMAS! Ahhh!!

But one thing, does UNIMAS internet connection able to support online game with its current "speed" (it'd be crap for online gaming). Any game you tried in UNIMAS and its connections?

Ya, that's the main problems, we connect to oversea servers, and then through the server we connect to the game server...everything send and receive will through the server, if the unimas network stil "good condition" as now, it will not able to connect to the game server, i tried when i just came back to unimas and i finds it is works, but after the connection speed down, i even though i connected to the oversea proxy server, but cant connect to the game server anymore...

isít set ip for wireless will make it more stable har?? ah liang???

I think nope, it doesnt matter with the ip, just the network of unimas really stupid slow right now...

Don forget that some of u already register to the cais wireless form.
The form contain ur pc internal ip-address.
What happened to u if they caught u?

I dont think the staff has so much free time to catch people unless a system is down, baru they start working.

As u see breaking out the firewall is like "PRISON BREAK".
U are against the law.
Actually, what do u think the staff everyday do.
Last time we enter CICTS, they got show us the internet traffic in unimas.
That one is viewing our behavior.
Now the unimas security already enhanced to block us.
So think again.
