Why discriminate girls??

I am sick of people that has the mentality of looking down towards females. Why arr?? :roll:
For example, one of my lecturer only wants guys become a leader. But why? Ok, if let say because the population of males in university is extinct and by implementing such policy they been given a 'chance' to be more competitive...but again, i don't see any purpose of discriminating gender. :x
Some guys are damn smart,but hey..girls also smart what, beside they are more details in doing something. so?
Guys should have the chance too..of course! But please la..to state that only guy can be a leader is kinda discrimination, and that's really not fair. I'm not saying that girls should be treated equally to guys, but think about justice and freedom of leadership. For instance, YDP MPP only for male ka? :P

Well, ever think of why there is little female in the panel board of MPP? Obvious enough, there is little female contestant. Clear enough. Equality is coming soon enough, hopefully in Malaysia with its "democracy" ways of ruling and "freedom of speech".

Mind stating which faculty your from and which lecturer and class? Just being busy body here.

I hate ppl who discriminate girls...y girls kenot lead a group or organization..nowadays there are some girls who are smarter than the guys...
see the number of girls who able to get dean list...it is obvious that some girls are smarter that some guys...

ya,u should complain in the evaluation form, its unfair that ur lecturer prefer guys to be leader.. gals are equally good.

personally i was quite dissapointed when hillary lose out to obama for the democrat ticket as the president candidate..
i don see why gals should not be given an opportunities to lead.
hmm..but i do hope that tat lecturer has his/her own gud reason for wanting only guys to be leader.it's quite sad actually to know that there's actually a lecturer who's a sexist..which i trully hope he's/she's not

Evaluation forms is one way to express, write as bad as you can if you really hate him/her, because the lecturers are only able to read those forms when accompanied by the Dean or Deputy Dean. So whatever you wrote there the "Boss" will read it too. ^@^

which of male or female composite more of the D-ler doesn't really matters, reasons? Explained in my new post "Dean's List (DL) hard to get? Or faculty very loose syllabus and marking system?"

i would not say that if i were you. look again on malaysian education and american's education then you judge about the issue you are talking about.

there are several reason more girls get dean list ok...
your statement is rather than a self bias...

there must reason why lecturer doing so....
maybe no one suggest tht she wan to be a gp leader...
or the lecturer may think tht it is good chance to place a guy in the group.....coz my experience tell me tht most of the group will either grouped by girl or guy only......
be patient lo....... or u can express ur opinion to ur lecturer.... maybe she will accept......

Ms Kye, you are right to question why only guys are allowed the leader post, but don't you think it would've been a little more effective if you politely asked the lecturer why is it that only guys can be appointed leader? I personally want to know why the lecturer feels that the job would be more appropriate for a guy? being a girl myself. Anyways, its just a thought.

The reason why is not acceptable at all.. because only few guys in my course. Is that acceptable? Maybe.. 8)

Whose the group leader don't really matters. Personally i don't want to be a leader nor an editor (so much reading and planning what to asked other to add, almost same as leader already). Actually i don't see leader need to do much conducting compare to the editor. Heck I've been appointed as both for so many assignments. Hated the most is when the people do not do their part or when they don't get what the lecturer or editor wants, end up doing it ourselves.

Procrastinator = warn / remind them
Slacker / free rider = complaint to lecturer or exclude his/ her name from the work (personally most liked solution)

Lecturers would like you to do so, because they dont have to went through so much fuss to find out do they really didn't do anything. Not being self-fish, but people who don't work does not deserve to be "paid" on others hard work.

in my opinion,we choose some1 bcome group leader is base on their ability to lead a group lo..n we should not base on gender rite...?i think as long as they can lead,then its ok..

i purposely post this matter becoz i dun feel satisfy on that particular lecturer. Everyone yang capable can be a gp leader la,BUT...Please....no need to state that ONLY GUY i repeat ONLY GUY can be a gp leader. I dun mind la who the gp leader, as long as he perform, responsible than ok.
